The Minister for Transport, Mobility and the Urban Agenda, Raquel Sánchez, presided over the launch of Ineco's roadmap for the next three years. During her speech, the minister stressed that the Strategic Plan 2023-2026, A New Impulse, approved by the engineering and consultancy firm "lays the foundations for continuing to move into the future" and "boosts its capacity to adapt to the new times". "For us, the steps that Ineco takes on its path towards the future are very important because you are a key part of the Mitma Group", she said during the presentation of the Plan, in which she was accompanied by the president of Ineco, Sergio Vázquez Torrón, and the president of Adif, María Luisa Domínguez.

Specifically, the new strategic plan of the engineering and consultancy firm lays the foundations for a company model that is committed to stability, conciliation and the professional development of its teams; to continue offering the best service to the General State Administration, in general, and to Mitma, in particular, with innovation and digitalisation as the levers of this new drive.

The company is also committed to continuing to contribute to the internationalisation of the important capabilities of the Spanish productive fabric in the fields of sustainable mobility and digital transformation. The company currently has more than 125 projects in more than 40 countries on all continents.

"Thanks to the strategic lines presented today, we will achieve a more visible, better positioned, more stable, more efficient and excellent Ineco, with greater business opportunities, more avant-garde, more internationalised and generating a greater social impact as an entity linked to the General State Administration. You can count on the support of the Ministry in this journey to continue moving forward, together, towards a mobility model oriented not only towards economic growth, but also towards social cohesion", said the head of Mitma.

Roadmap for the next three years

The company's new roadmap is based on seven points: human capital; Ineco's positioning as a benchmark company in sustainable mobility and digital transformation; excellence and efficiency; innovation and digitalisation; production and customer diversification; the international dimension; and social impact.

"While remaining true to your essence as a benchmark in sustainable mobility and digital transformation, you are strengthening your position in climate change mitigation and adaptation. You have the potential to contribute your knowledge, experience and capabilities in areas such as urban planning, renewable energies and infrastructure resilience. In short, diversify and grow", said Raquel Sánchez during her speech.

This new impetus will enable Ineco "to be in a position to become the public talent company we need for the great transformation that Spain is undergoing", emphasised its president, Sergio Vázquez Torrón.

In 2022, the company managed to achieve a contracting of nearly 550 million euros and a project portfolio of more than 840 million euros to achieve profits of more than 360 million euros. These figures represent the consolidation of a new company model which, for the first time, has a team of more than 5,000 professionals, with a presence on all continents, and which is also immersed in a unique employment stabilisation process to provide job stability to more than 2,000 professionals.
