Ineco will be one of the companies to make up the Spanish consortium that will bid on the high-speed train that will link Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, in Brazil.

Spanish Minister for Public Works Ana Pastor confirmed this during her presentation at the 8th Meeting of the Infrastructures Sector organised by Deloitte and ABC, in Madrid. She also announced that this week her department will announce the composition of the public-private consortium with which Spain will participate in this large tender.

The Rio de Janeiro-São Paulo-Campinas train will be the first high-speed line in Latin America, covering a distance of 510 kilometres. This project is part of the Economic Acceleration Plans (PAC) undertaken by the Brazilian government to modernise its infrastructures.
