Ineco, in collaboration with ICEX and MAFEX, was present at the 8th edition of UIC Highspeed 2012 - World Congress on High Speed Rail, which took place on 11, 12 and 13 July, in Philadelphia.

The purpose of the fair is to present the latest strategies and developments in high speed, as well as the technology innovations applied to the sector. The event is attended by high-level representatives of different international rail organisations, as well as authorities from different countries and companies specialising in rail materials, especially high speed. Eleven Spanish companies and entities showed their interest in expanding their presence in the US.

Among the parallel activities during the event, the Ineco representatives in Philadelphia attended the “Spain Business Forum”, a lunch organised by ICEX and led by Alicia Montalvo (director of the ICEX Industrial Products and Technology division) and María Jesús Fernández (trade commissioner in Chicago). During the event, issues were addressed related to the American market and high speed in there. The US has expressed interest in improving its rail transport network.
