Ineco, in conjunction with Renfe and Adif, will collaborate with the Egyptian Ministry of Transport and the Egyptian National Railway (ENR) to improve the rail safety management system and develop its capabilities for implementation of the regulatory framework.

This contract is the result of an agreement between the two countries and includes collaboration in activities such as personnel training in key jobs, establishing criteria for defining the set-up for workshops and traffic control centres, the new regulations for level crossings and the implementation of the main technical standards. It also includes collaboration on the improvement of safety procedures for operations and rolling stock, as well as the development of an action plan for drivers.
