The new Line 2 of Tenerife's Tram,"La Cuesta - Tíncer", was officially opened on 30 May. During the opening speeches, both Carlos Alonso, Chairman of Metropolitano de Tenerife, and Ricardo Melchior, Chairman of the Inter-Island Council, expressed their gratitude to the participant companies for their collaboration. They both made special mention to Ineco and its General Manager, Antonio Monfort, for the support received from the start of the tram planning process, which made the start-up of this transport system in Tenerife possible, which currently allows more than 60% of the urban population to have a stop less than 500 m from their doorstep and the positive acceptance of which has exceeded expectations by 20%.
