Ineco will carry out the feasibility studies for the future high speed line that will link the cities of Cairo and Luxor. This corridor of over 600kms will connect the two most important cities of the country, boosting its tourism infrastructure. With this important agreement, Ineco lays its international experience in high speed at the service of Egyptian plans in order to update its railway lines.

A delegation from the company, led by President Jesús Silva, has travelled to Egypt in order to meet with the Minister of Transport, Hany Dahy, as well as with other Egyptian Government infrastructure representatives, to strengthen in this way relations for the ongoing agreements.

Furthermore, this country is expecting to improve its high-capacity transport system, particularly Cairo metro lines 4, 5 and 6, and the metro of Alexandria.

Ineco already has an amount of experience in Egypt, where it has undertaken several aviation and air navigation projects. Its position as a leader in the railway sector, especially in high speed, has been paramount in order for Ineco to take part in one of the most ambitious projects in the Mediterranean.
