On World Water Day, Ineco becomes aware of the need to seek measures to address the global water crisis in order to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation for all by 2030. In 2022 we are focused on groundwater, an "invisible" water whose effects can be seen everywhere.

Since 2019, Ineco has been cooperating with the General Directorate for Water of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge in the monitoring and evaluation of environmental restoration works on riverbeds within the framework of the National Strategy for River Restoration (ENRR), a strategy that includes a set of actions aimed at recovering the good ecological condition of our rivers and streams, improving their hydromorphological conditions and reducing the damage caused by floods.

In addition, we monitored the modernisation and expansion of the piezometric groundwater control network and its integration into the hydrological information systems of the Basin Organizations, which is necessary to comply with the monitoring of the quantitative status of groundwater bodies required by the Water Framework Directive and to improve groundwater management
