Jesús Silva, the President of Ineco, and María Sánchez-Palomo, Manager of Ineco’s Commercial and Clients Department, have travelled to Uruguay to hold various business meetings with the main authorities for local transport.

Accompanied by the Spanish ambassador in Uruguay, Roberto Varela; and the Business Director of the Spanish company in South America, José María Llorente; the Ineco delegation has met with Uruguay’s Minister of Public Works and Transport, Víctor Rossi, to advise the Uruguayan government on the railway junction that the country needs for a future second factory for the Finnish paper company UPM.

This meeting is a continuation of the contacts that were established during the visit of the Uruguayan delegation, led by its Chairman Tabaré Vázquez, to Spain last October. At these meetings a series of projects were analysed that Uruguay wants to develop in the short term.

The Minister Víctor Rossi stressed Ineco’s participation in the main international projects in this sector and as an example he used the development of the infrastructure in Spain as a model to follow.
