President Jesús Silva and Engineering Operations and Services Managing director Ana Rojo have participated in the II Engineering and Public Works Forum which has taken part on the 6th and 7th of July in Santander. In the context of the discussion table “Brand Spain and global leadership”, Silva has highlighted the strength of Spanish Engineering abroad and Ineco’s position as reference in transport engineering and consultancy, especially in the Middle East and Latin America. Ana Rojo was in charge of introducing the audience to the Midfield Terminal Complex ORAT project at Abu Dhabi airport, one of the most emblematic projects of Ineco’s presence around the world. Organised by the Caminos foundation and the Colegio de Caminos, Canales y Puertos, this second edition of the Engineering and Public Works Forum has assembled the leading representatives of the Administration, as well as the main construction and engineering firms of the country, besides economists and journalists of renown prestige. The objective is to establish a permanent meeting in order to highlight the leader role of the Spanish companies of the market in the world, where the quality of the projects led by these companies has made them an international benchmark and the axis of international prestige for Spanish civil engineers.

Paralel to the Engineering and Public Works Forum, the gardens of the Magdalena Palace will host the exhibition ‘New roads that link the world’, open to the public, with photographs of the main engineering works which will be explained throughout the two days that the summit lasts. Among the key projects, visitors may see the panel for the Midfield Terminal Complex ORAT project at Abu Dhabi airport that our company is developing.
