Ineco held the awards ceremony for the 2017 Innova Awards, its third edition, at the Sala Ágora. An annual recognition of the talent of the company's professionals in their search for the best innovative transport solutions for society. 

During the ceremony, the president of Ineco, Isaac Martín Barbero, stressed ‘the importance of innovation to continue growing’ and thanked all participants for ‘their commitment and effort.’

Now in its third edition, the awards had a single category aimed at recognising the projects that had the greatest impact on the company’s sales and/or income statement, for which three finalists were selected: SIMA; a method for assessing the impact of ERTMS on railway capacity; and the Cityneco smart city platform

The outcome, due to a very similar number of votes cast for each, saw the three projects sharing the award.
