Ineco and Uruguay moving forward the railway connection with Montevideo

Railways

The Ministry of Transport of Uruguay has once again trusted the Ineco team to advance in the design of the railway line that will link the city of Paso de los Toros with Montevideo, the Uruguayan capital. An important structure in which Ineco has been carrying out different works for two years and with which it has renewed its commitment with new projects.

Within the framework of collaboration between MTOP and MITMA, the Uruguayan and Spanish ministries, Ineco puts its extensive experience at the disposal of this significant railway infrastructure to guarantee not only sustainability and efficiency (so relevant in freight transport), but also the adaptation of the structure of the National Railway Transport Directorate to the future management of the Uruguayan railway network.

Thus, Ineco will be the company that will support the structuring of the new Traffic and Control Center (CTC). It will provide technical advice on matters of regulation, training, safety and railway planning and freight transport. Finally, once the operation phase has begun, Ineco will provide technical assistance to the Ministry of Transport of Uruguay.

Spanish companies such as Sacyr, CAF Signalling and Cointer Concesiones (Azvi Group), among others, are participating in this railway project. These bonds continue to strengthen in this way between Spain and Uruguay and demonstrate Ineco's success in railway and transport infrastructure.
