The General Manager of International Business, Ignacio Fernández-Cuenca, represented Ineco at the 40th Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), held in Montreal (Canada).

The Minister of Public Works, José Luis Ábalos, took part in this event before the plenary session of the ICAO Assembly, calling for an expanded role for Spain in this organisation, in keeping with its role as the world's leading airport operator in terms of the number of passengers managed, handling more than 280 million passengers. In addition, it was announced that Spain will host the second edition of the Global Aviation Gender Equality Summit in 2020. According to the minister, the organisation of the Global Aviation Gender Summit is a great opportunity for Spain to once again demonstrate on the international stage, the Government's unconditional support of all actions that consolidate progress towards real and effective equality between women and men.

Since 2006, Ineco has been collaborating with the ICAO on different projects that promote the development of air transport and guarantee international air safety.
