Ineco has participated in the first Oman Public Transport Conference congress, which took place in Muscat on the 13th and 14th of October. The encounter, which was organised by ORTA (Oman Road Transport Association) and with the support of the Ministry of Transport of Oman, focused on the topic of public transport as economic and social motor for development in the region. Ineco is an active part of this development through the Urban Transport Plan for Muscat that the company is currently working on for the Omani ministry, which deals with the design of a new transport network to provide the city with an efficient and sustainable public transport system.

José Manuel Tejera, Infrastructure and Transport Managing Director at Ineco, participated at the event’s opening session, and Emilio Miralles, who is expert senior and team leader of the Urban Transport Plan for Muscat, spoke at the ‘Strategy and Future of Oman’s Public Transport’ session, offering a global overview of the project.

The company's goal is to reinforce its strategic positioning in Oman, whose government is making a significant investment in the improvement of its transport systems.
